The 2009 cheque presentation was made at the tournament Rules Meeting October 2, 2009 at the Selkirk Inn & Conference Centre. The donation was the result of proceeds raised at the event through team entries and the 2009 Boat, Motor and Trailer Raffle. This brings the total donation to over $42,000 since 2000.

Without the support of our Major Sponsors, Prize Donators, Participants and Volunteers this would not have been possible!

'RED RIVER WALLEYE CHALLENGE'

The CancerCare Manitoba Foundation enhances our efforts through sustained and unfaltering support in the form of community efforts and effective fundraising. We are extremely appreciative of the Foundation's support for CancerCare; not only did it raise substantial capital for our new centre, it contributes millions each year for ongoing research and better care for Manitobans living with cancer - both today and for generations to come.

CCMF Mandate

Our whole focus is on helping to achieve better outcomes for Manitobans and their families living with cancer. Every dollar we raise builds better care and research capability right here in Manitoba. The CancerCare Manitoba Foundation was created by an act of the Legislature of the Province of Manitoba. Our mandate is to bring together human and financial resources, and to deploy them in a manner that sustains CancerCare Manitoba's delivery of excellent cancer care for all Manitobans. CancerCare Manitoba is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those living with cancer and blood disorders, and to improving the control of cancer for all Manitobans.
